  • Why choose the Mental Health Responder Programme?
We feel that our courses are accessible, adaptable and affordable. Our courses are tailored to you and we work with you to create something bespoke and unique. We understand that particular people may need specialist mental health training that goes into high depth. We don't fill that gap. We are here for everyone. A course that can be applicable and useful to all - without consuming days of wages and employee attention.
  • What do we do if we can't afford it?
As we are a mental health charity, our priority is your learning. We offer discounted and fully-funded courses to companies and individuals who meet particular criteria. These criteria often cover the following areas: - Financial status - Charity status - BAME focus - Women-led - Key Worker
  • Does this course qualify me as a mental health professional?
Imagine if you could be a professional in one day... This course is designed to help you signpost people, help converse about mental health and manage your own wellbeing. It is not designed to substitute professional support. We hope that you become a better responder to people's mental health difficulties and know what to do if things go wrong. Please note: The Be Free Campaign takes no liability for any actions or behaviours that are taken as a result of this course.
  • Who is your course made by and is it regulated?
Our course is developed by our team of psychologists, psychiatrists, and mental health charity professionals. They understand the complexities and nuances of mental health and mental health disorders and have generated well-researched evidence. Additionally, our team have interacted with individuals struggling with mental health issues, so they have a better understanding of the challenges those individuals face. Our courses have also been delivered to the Department of Health & Social Care Mental Health Policy Team who have shown their approval! Our focus is on lived experience and we make sure we work alongside people with lived experience to ensure that the courses are delivered effectively. We want to make sure our course is affordable and accessible. We feel that to do that, we have avoided using regulators who use non-mental health experts to monitor content and decide what teaching style works. Often, these regulators charge expensive fees and we didn't feel it was fair to pass those costs onto you. Regulating courses may restrict the creativity and freedom of learning that is essential for learners to develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills. Secondly, regulating courses may limit the learner's ability to explore different topics, subjects, and interests. Thirdly, it can be difficult to accurately and fairly regulate courses, as each learner has different learning styles and needs. We understand that training is expensive - so if you are struggling to afford this training for your company - then get in touch and we can help out! We are a mental health charity overall!
